Meet the Director
I have had the incredible opportunity as Executive Director of the Piscataquis Chamber of Commerce to work closely with the business owners and community members of Piscataquis County over the past three years. During this time, I am excited to say that we have seen exponential growth, both as a chamber and as a county.
There is something so intrinsically unique and special here, it is something I was able to acknowledge almost immediately upon taking the position, however I still find it difficult to express in words.
When one thinks about where they want to spend their work-week, raise their children, experience the beauty of nature, or even retire, it is difficult to believe it can all be found in one place. But it can. Right here, in Piscataquis County.
We are the largest county in Maine, and one of only two counties still considered 100% rural, yet we are accomplishing forward movement that is difficult to find in other counties like ours across the nation.
As with any rural area in the country, we face our challenges, I won’t deny that; however, I am confident we’ll work through them and find solutions, ultimately strengthening our economy and improving the quality of life here.
We are committed to doing exceptional work here as a Chamber of Commerce, and I consider myself privileged to hold this position and play an integral role in the collaboration needed to make a recognizable and lasting impact within the borders of our region and abroad.
If you are interested in learning more about our Chamber’s practices, programs, or benefits, or if you would just like more information about this wonderful county, please do not hesitate to contact me. It will be my pleasure to help you!
